Subscriptions
Introduction
Systems in Rimote can be extended with subscriptions to enable or disable certain features such as service, monitoring and notifications. The configuration of this is limited by the necessary rights that have been assigned to the user. To manage subscriptions the relevant system must first be selected. Then choose 'Subscriptions' -> 'Overview' in the left navigationt tree.
Overview
The overview initially filters to show all active subscriptions. It is also possible to deactive the filter to also show subscriptions in the past. Because subscriptions are not deleted, it is always possible to look back in the history of the system.
Name
Name of the subscription.Reference
Auto generated code to identify subscriptions.Start date
Start date of the subscription.End date
End date of the subscription.Automatically extend
If this option is active, the subscription will be automatically extended 2 days before the end date.
Add subscription
In the upper right corner of the table you will find the add button. A new screen appears with a selection menu for the available subscription variants. The start date is the current day to make sure the subscription will start directly. This can also be adjusted to the future. Any costs are displayed under the selection menu. If a variant is already active on the system, an error message will be displayed so that subscriptions are not added twice.
Extend subscription
Subscriptions that are not automatically extended can be extended manually by clicking on the options menu and then 'Extend'. After confirming the dialogue a new subscription will be created with the correct start date. The duration of subscriptions is currently 1 year and cannot be changed.
Upgrade subscription
Subscriptions are available in multiple variants. If the current subscription is not sufficient, an upgrade can be considered. By clicking on the options menu and then 'Upgrade' a new popup will be opened with the choice of available upgrades. The list shows all subscriptions that apply to the chosen subscription. This list may remain empty, which would mean that there are currently no upgrades available.
A downgrade of subscriptions is not possible. For this, the subscription must first expire and then a new subscription created.
Cancel subscription
If a subscription is no longer required, the option to cancel is available by clicking on the options menu and then 'Cancel'. After confirming the dialog, the subscription will be terminated or will expire automatically. Subscriptions may have a test period. This is indicated when adding new subscriptions. Subscriptions within the test period van be terminated immediately without incurring any costs. In case the test period is exceeded or no test period is available, the subscription will automatically end on the end date.
Basic service subscription
The basic service subscription is a default subscription that always remains active with the systems unless an upgrade is made. No costs are charged for the basic service.
