Trending

The trending module is developed to visualize data over time. It is possible to monitor certain values which can be grouped into trendviews. Only one trend view can be shown at the same time but it is possible to create several. A trend view is shown in the example below.

Trendview actionbar

Certain actions are possible at the top of the screen. These actions will apply visual changes to the current selected trendview. All actions can be found in the table below.

1 Open the trendview configuration window
2 Selection menu for configured trendviews
3 Reload current trendview values
4 Re-calculate chart data
5 Shift the view
6 Selection of a specific part of the trendview
7 Zoom in on a certain part of the trendview
8 Reset of the zoom factor to the original value
9 Show or hide the legend
10 Save current trendview as image

To display data for a certain period, there are also a number of actions available at the bottom of the screen. Important here is the actual period which should get used for the current trendview. Several actions are available pointed out in the figure and table below to make changes to the current trendview period.

2 Move the start date back by one day
3 Select the start date manually
4 Select a start time for the selected startdate
5 Move the start date forward by one day
6 Select the previous month as the current period
7 Select the previous week as the current period
8 Select the last 24h as the current period

10 Move the end date back by one day
11 Select the end date manually
12 Select a end time for the selected end date
13 Move the start date forward by one day
14 Move the start date forward by one week

Configure trendviews

The trendview configuration in the figure below is used to manage trendviews and it's values. On the left side it is possible to manage the trendviews (copy, create, delete).

The first section in middle column can be used to change trendview properties such as name and default period. Values can be created in the bottom area of the middle column.

The right side is used to change the selected value in the middle. Pre defined values are available from the dropdown list. The properties are explained in the table below.

Axis definitions

The value axis can be configured per value. As shown in the figure below, the top half area of the window is used to manage value axes. The bottom half can be used to make changes to the selected value axis. See the figure and table below for the available options.
