Alarm management
Process components can generate alarms, as described in the section process components.
When there are alarm, users have to get notified about these alarm. This is the task of the alarm management module in RPC. A small part of this module is always available at the top of the screen. In this part (see picture below) the last alarm is shown. When there are no alarms, the last warning is shown. You can click on this alarm to open the alarm management module geopend. The alarm mudule is also available from the main menu under ‘Alarm management’.
A number of options are available in the alarm management, these are explained below.

Overviews
The alarm management module consists of three different tabs, with 3 different views. The views contain de following information:
- Actual: Alarms and warnings which are active right now.
- Historic Alarms and warnings which are not active anymore.
- Blocked: Active alarms and warnings, which are blocked.
Alarm details
Each alarm, represented as a row in the table, contains information about the alarm, and where in the system the alarm occured. These rows have the same layout in each view:

Alarm processing
When an alarm occurs it will be shown management. Op dat moment wordt het alarm getoond the view ‘Actueel’. The alarms on this page can have 3 verschillende states. The same is true for warnings:

Active alarm The alarm is active, no action has been taken yet.

Inactive alarm The alarm is not active anymore, because it got a reset command from the system. This means usually the condition that created the alarm no longer exists. The alarm is still in the list of alarms, but the system can be started again. When the alarm is confirmed, the alarm is moved to ‘Historic’.

Active alarm, confirmed When an active alarm gets confirmed, it will stay active, but will be confirmed. When the alarm gets a reset command, and becomes inactive, it does not have to be confirmed again.
All these states have different colors and icons, which are described below:
